Families can be Forever

Living in Arizona comes with some amazing opportunities..smelling the jasmine and the orange trees in bloom, meeting new people and having new adventures, and a beautiful new temple. The Gilbert Temple was dedicated this past week. Leighton and I have already had some wonderful experiences with this temple. We were first able to go tour at the open house and feel of the Spirit that dwells within the Lord's house. We were also able to watch the Cultural Celebration. The Heavens wept tears of joy as 12,000 youth sang of how they were the children of Abraham. Last Sunday the temple was dedicated in a dedicatory prayer by Henry B. Eyring. His words were sweet as he blessed the Lord's house to further His work. President Monson was a charmer symbolically finishing the temple by placing mortar around the cornerstone. This Saturday Leighton and I were able to enter this beautiful house of the Lord again and feel of the Lord's presence as we watched the sealing of Leighton's cousin and her now forever-husband. I am so thankful for temples and the work that is done within. I am grateful that Heavenly Father loves us and has given us families to help support us and to help us grow. I know that we can experience joy and happiness in the family unit. The temple allows us to be linked together to past and future generations.
